Debbie completed a Master of Arts in Music degree with an emphasis in Piano Pedagogy in December 2011 at Texas Woman's University, where she studied piano with Dr. Richard Shuster. She is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Texas Music Teachers Association, and serves as President of Denton Music Teachers Association. She was voted as 2015-2016 DMTA Teacher of the Year!

With over 20 years experience as a private piano teacher, and 7 years at TWU as Graduate Teaching Assistant (1-year) and Adjunct Class Piano Instructor of music majors (6-years). Debbie focuses on giving supportive, patient guidance to students of all ages (6 and up). Her music career includes over 30 years service as pastoral musician for various churches in the Catholic Diocese of San Angelo. She also initiated and developed the music program, including a piano lab, that she taught for 10 years at Angelo Catholic School in San Angelo, TX. She is currently pianist for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton.

Debbie and her husband reside in Denton, TX; and they have five children and five grandchildren. Her hobbies include gardening and procuring old family photos.
